Privacy Policy
This page explains how Auto Gear Pilot at autogearpilot.com handles information when you browse the site or contact us.

Information you provide
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, topic and message. A page URL is optional. We use these details to respond, check a correction or deal with a privacy request. Form submissions are saved in the website’s administration area and may also be delivered by email.
Technical information and analytics
The site and its hosting services can record technical details such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and access times to operate the website, prevent abuse and investigate errors.
Google Analytics is configured through Google Site Kit. It can collect information about page visits, device/browser characteristics and how visitors use the site. This helps us understand which content is useful. Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Cookies and your choices
WordPress, analytics and site features can use cookies or similar browser storage. Login, security and shopping features may need storage to work; analytics and embedded services may use additional storage.
Where a cookie preference control is shown, use it to manage the choices offered. Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently after you disable them. You can learn about Google’s privacy controls at Google Privacy & Terms and its Analytics opt-out tool.
You can review browser storage choices separately from the information sent through a contact form. Deleting cookies from your own browser does not identify or remove a message already submitted to the website. For a question about a previous submission, use the contact form and give enough context to identify that message.
Embedded videos and external websites
Some guides include YouTube videos and links to manufacturers, retailers and other sources. When you load or play embedded content, the provider can receive technical information and may use cookies according to its own policy. Clicking an external link takes you to a website with its own privacy practices.
Before following a product or source link, check which provider you are visiting. A manufacturer page, retailer account and video service can have different settings and information practices. Use that provider’s own privacy controls for activity on its service; choices available on Auto Gear Pilot do not automatically change settings in a separate account.
A retailer can collect order, account and payment details when you purchase there. We do not receive your retailer account password or payment-card details through a product link.
Comments and account features
If you use an available comment or account feature, WordPress may process the information entered and technical data used for spam prevention or account security. A profile image service, where displayed, may also receive a request. You do not need a site account to read our buying guides.
Who can process information
The site owner and the services needed to host, secure and deliver the website or email can process relevant information. Google and embedded-content providers process the information sent to their services. We do not publish contact-form email addresses or messages as testimonials.
Information may be processed outside your country by these providers. Their policies explain their own safeguards and practices.
Retention and security
Contact information is kept while it is needed to handle the message, related follow-up, security issues or applicable recordkeeping requirements. Technical logs, backups and analytics follow the relevant service settings; they do not all have one fixed retention period.
We use the website’s administrative access controls to limit access to submissions. No online system can guarantee that information will never be lost or accessed without permission.
Requests about your information
Use our contact form and choose “Privacy request” to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have sent. Include enough detail for us to identify the message; we may need to verify the request. The rights available and any necessary retention depend on applicable law and the type of information.
A useful request identifies the feature involved, the approximate date and the information you previously submitted. Explain whether you are asking about access, correction or deletion. Avoid adding passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information. If your question concerns a retailer order or an external account, contact that provider directly because the relevant records are held by that service.
Updates
We will update this page when the site’s practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact form.
